1.    William Warren McCullough: born July 24, 1868 in Newton, Newton County, Missouri; married to Laura Josephine Green (1873-1940), daughter of William Washington Gorton Green (1852-1927) and Nancy Caroline Isham (1855-1914); died April 30, 1938 (aged 70) in Comanche, Comanche County, Texas; buried at Shiloh Cemetery in Comanche, Comanche County, Texas; known children include: Ada Caroline McCullough, Kate Elizabeth McCullough, Mary Ozella McCullough and Emitt Loyd McCullough.

 

2.    Luther Sanford McCullough: born November 24, 1870 in Bosque County, Texas; married in 1891 to Paralee Palistine Wood (1872-1908), daughter of James Wood (1843-1924) and Martha Ann Depriest (1848-1910); died July 22, 1957 (aged 86) in Comanche County, Texas; buried at Shiloh Cemetery in Comanche, Comanche County, Texas; known children include: Frank Sanford McCullough, Charles Livingston McCullough, Pearl Ann McCullough, John Warren McCullough, Myrtle May McCullough and Isla Cleo McCullough.

 

3.    Dora Alice McCullough: born January 1, 1873 in Bosque County, Texas; died September 17, 1873 (aged 8 months) in Bosque County, Texas.

 

4.    George Livingston McCullough: born July 13, 1874 in Bosque County, Texas; married December 10, 1899 in Comanche County, Texas to Cora Belle Horner (1883-1953), daughter of Robert Carson Horner (1854-1923) and Mary Elizabeth Dobbs (1856-1922); died March 31, 1955 (aged 80) in Coleman, Coleman County, Texas; buried at Shiloh Cemetery in Comanche, Comanche County, Texas; known children include: Roy Cowdrey McCullough, Lily Pearl McCullough, Carl Roney McCullough, Raleigh Hubert McCullough and Lester Livingston McCullough.

 

5.    Jacob “Jake” McCullough: born September 14, 1876 in Comanche County, Texas; married September 13, 1896 in Comanche County, Texast o Mary Ozella Green (1887-1913), daughter of William Washington Groton Green (1852-1927) and Nancy Caroline Isham (1855-1914); died September 14, 1961 (aged 85) in Comanche County, Texas; buried at Shiloh Cemetery in Comanche, Comanche County, Texas; known children include: Annie Leona McCullough, Joseph Floyd McCullough, Floyd William McCullough and William R. McCullough.

 

6.    Jesse “Jess” Franklin McCullough: born October 22, 1879 in Comanche County, Texas; married May 19, 1901 in Comanche County, Texas to Bessie Rebecca Smith (1885-1982), daughter of James Edward Smith (1840-1926) and Harriet Spell (1847-1936); died March 12, 1968 (aged 88) in Comanche County, Texas; buried at Shiloh Cemetery, Row 9-N in Comanche, Comanche County, Texas; known children include: Thermon Franklin McCullough, Odus G. McCullough, Elton K. McCullough, Mildred Dale McCullough and Milford Gayle McCullough.

 

7.    Susan Alice McCullough: born February 19, 1882 in Comanche County, Texas; married April 20, 1902 in Comanche County, Texas to Levi Horner (1877-1967), son of James Jefferson Horner (1829-1912) and Frances Jane Angel (1844-1932); died December 31, 1969 (aged 87) in Bangs, Brown County, Texas; buried at Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early, Brown County, Texas; known children include: Jewel Frances Horner, Elmer Reuben Horner, James Cecil Horner, Troy Bailey Horner, Ernest Lee Horner, Levi Elton Horner, William Verl Horner and Milton Woodrow Horner.

 

8.    Evaneal “Neely” McCullough: born March 23, 1884 in Comanche County, Texas; married June 18, 1904 in Comanche County, Texas to William Lycurgus Berry (1878-1963), son of Hugh A. Berry (1832-1923); died May 31, 1969 (aged 85) in Ballinger, Runnels County, Texas; buried at Crews Cemetery, North, Row 14 in Winters, Runnels County, Texas; known children include: Eargle R.H. Berry, Charlie Dean Berry, Lawrence Lee Berry, Lella Mae Berry and Bunna Belle Berry.

 

9.    Henry Marion McCullough:  born May 31, 1886 in Comanche County, Texas; married December 8, 1907 in Comanche County, Texas to Floy Adeline Stewart (1890-1972), daughter of John Owen Stewart (1866-1951) and Mary Della Cooper (1869-1953); died April 19, 1969 (aged 82) in Lubbock County, Texas; buried at City of Lubbock Cemetery in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; known children include: Vernon Owens McCullough, Henry Elton McCullough, Coy Rube McCullough and Alma Ruth McCullough.

 

10.  Milton M. McCullough: born June 20, 1888 in Comanche County, Texas; married December 20, 1920 at Gustine, Comanche County, Texas to Thelma Pitts (1901-1987), daughter of Sherwood H. Pitts (1868-1962); died May 17, 1965 (aged 76) in Big Spring, Howard County, Texas; buried at Old Runnels Cemetery, Ballinger, Runnels County, Texas; known children include: Laura Beatrice McCullough, Milton Dale McCullough, Weldon H. McCullough and Nelda Frances McCullough.

 

11.  Millie McCullough: born June 20, 1888 in Comanche County, Texas; married October 25, 1928, in Comanche, Comanche County, Texas to Wade Ashley Mercer (1879-1964), son of Hiram Christopher Mercer (1841-1912) and Louisa C. Barker (1853-1915); died July 27, 1977 in Comanche, Comanche County, Texas; buried at Shiloh Cemetery in Comanche, Comanche County, Texas; known children include: Walter Ray Mercer, Claude Milton Mercer, James Alton Mercer and Laura Louise Mercer.

 

12.  Ruben Jackson McCullough: born December 22, 1890 in Comanche County, Texas; married to Lillie Opal Butler (1898-1967), daughter of Charles Wilson Butler (1873-1926) and Martha Edna Dunlap (1875–1961); died May 19, 1980 (aged 89) in Bangs, Comanche County, Texas; buried at Eastlawn Memorial Park, Devotion, Lot 30, Sec. D-2. in Early, Brown County, Texas; known children include; Charles Wilson Mccullough, Hugh Bob McCullough and Ruben Jackson McCullough, Jr.

Notes:

 

Laura Elizabeth James (1847-1917) was the daughter of William Elias James (1823-1881) and Martha (Emma) Gains (1828-1912) of Elbert County, Georgia.

 

Milton M. McCullough (1888-1965) was a veteran of World War I, Serial Number 1,496,233.  Milton enlisted as a Private in the U.S. Army on September 19, 1917 at Comanche County, Texas and attained the rank of Private 1st Class in February of 2018.  He served in Company “M” of the 143rd Infantry, also known as the “Third Texas” and the 36th Infantry Division in France from July 18, 1918, through May 31, 1919. Milton was honorably discharged upon demobilization on June 14, 1919.  Source, Form No. 724-1, A.G.O.
