Mitchell, Ollie Arminta Mitchell, Wylie C. Mitchell, John Willis Mitchell,Thomas B. Mitchell, James K. Mitchell, Clara Normaree Mitchell, Jerry William Mitchell and Doris Eileen Mitchell.

 

2.    Lillian McGary James:  born March 6, 1890 in Colbert County, Alabama; married December 24, 1906 in Colbert County, Alabama to Charles Conrad Wheeler (1887-1964), son of Charles Nicholas Wheeler (1852-1909) and Eliza A. Goins (1844-1904); died October 1, 1981 (aged 91) in Colbert County, Alabama; buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia, Colbert County, Alabama; known children include:  Roxie L. Wheeler, Willie Mae Wheeler, Maxine Wheeler, Ann Maude Wheeler, Lois Wheeler, Bonnie Wheeler and Audrey Wheeler.

 

3.    Katie Berta James: born December 5, 1892 in Colbert County, Alabama, married circa 1908 in Colbert County, Alabama to Amos Houston Tubbs (1887–1948), son of Martin Greenberry Tubbs (1856–1922) and Martha C. Malone (1853–1945); died 1972 (aged 79–80); buried at Crooked Oak Cemetery, Crooked Oak, Colbert County, Alabama; known children include: William A. Tubbs, John Martin Tubbs, Lula Cleo Tubbs, Esther A. Tubbs, Martha Lorene Tubbs, James Dexter Tubbs, Grace Faye Tubbs, Luverna Modina Tubbs, Margie Bertha Tubbs and Billie Joe Tubbs,

 

4.    Myrtle Alice James: born December 19, 1894 in Colbert County, Alabama; married to Richard Luther Tompkins (1893-1967); died May 27, 1973. (aged 78) in Colbert County, Alabama; buried at Colbert Memorial Garden, Tuscumbia, Colbert County, Alabama; known children include: Luther Raymond Tompkins, Doris Juanita Tompkins and Billie Sue Tompkins.

 

5.    Effie Josephine James: born circa 1896 in Colbert County, Alabama; first marriage May 27, 1913 in the residence of John James, Colbert County, Alabama to George Washington Shikle (1894 - murdered 1933), son of George S. Shikle (1863-1935) and Lucy Smallwood (1867-1942); second marriage to William Elijah Moss (1896-1981); died 1979; buried at Piney Grove Cemetery, New Bethel, Colbert County, Alabama; known children include: Susie Joyce Shikle, Smith Shikle and Lucy Beatrice Shikle.

 

6.    William Claude James: born October 28, 1898 in Colbert County, Alabama; married March 31, 1923 in Franklin County, Alabama to Grace Rice (1904-1980), daughter of Winston L. Rice (1879-1961) and Mary M. Swinney (1884-1935); died April 3, 1963 (aged 64) in Shelby County, Alabama; buried at Dry Valley Cemetery, Jemison, Chilton County, Alabama; known children include: Lynetta James, Rudolph James, Mary Lou James, Cletus James, Tulon James, Winston James, Hillard Onon James, Claude Daniel James and Lyman Ondus James.

 

7.    Alishia Maude James: born September 28, 1899 in Colbert County, Alabama; married Carl Stanley Mitchell (1898–1953), son of Lorenzo Dow Mitchell (1871–1943) and Rosa Dell Moore (1875–1954); died October 13, 1979 (aged 80) in Colbert County, Alabama; buried at Piney Grove Cemetery, New Bethel, Colbert County, Alabama; known children include: Dorothy Louise Mitchell.

 

8.    Lula Estell James: born November 24, 1901 in Cherokee, Colbert County, Alabama; married William Benton McGuire (1895–1979), died December 6, 1974 (aged 73) in Sheffield, Colbert County, Alabama, buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Section W-1, Tuscumbia, Colbert County, Alabama; known children include: William Benton McGuire, Jr.

 

9.    Robert Enoch James: born December 27, 1903 in Freedom Hills, Colbert County, Alabama; married Erma Odell Lancaster (1910–2004); died February 17, 1992 (aged 88) in Tuscumbia, Colbert County, Alabama; buried at Greenview Memorial Gardens, Garden of The Fountain, Forest Hills, Lauderdale County, Alabama; known children include: Harold Lee James.

 

10.  Clara Naomi “Carrie L.” James: born September 19, 1907; married Arlie Lowery (1905-1983), son of Marion Calvin Lowery (1879-1946) and Ruth F. Johnson (1881-1962); died January 1, 1988 (aged 80); buried at Red Bay Cemetery, Red Bay, Franklin County, Alabama.

 

11.  Flora Agnes James: born circa 1910 in Franklin County, Alabama; married “Parker” as per obituary of Robert Enoch James.

 

12.  Andrew Lawrence “O’Neal” James: born July 1, 1914 in Franklin County, Alabama; married Ada Mae Poss (1914-1989), daughter of Oscar O. Poss (1888-1976) and Lillie Mae Vernon (1881-1941); died Marcy 10, 1976 (aged 61) in Russellville, Franklin County, Alabama; buried at Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Section E3, Russellville, Franklin County, Alabama; known children include: Bobby James, Charles James, Clifford James and Betty James.
