Children of Hannah James (1772-1852) and Jesse Howell (1775-1855) of Loudoun County, Virginia:

1.   Levi Howell:  born July 10, 1795 in Shelburn Parrish, Loudoun County, Virginia; died July 14, 1795 (aged 4 days) in Shelburn Parrish, Loudoun County, Virginia.

2.   Abel Howell:  born September 30, 1796 in Shelburn Parrish, Loudoun County, Virginia; died October 25, 1798 (aged 2) in Shelburn Parrish, Loudoun County, Virginia..

3.   Elijah Washington Howell:  born December 14, 1799 in Shelburn Parrish, Loudoun County, Virginia; married February 18, 1822 in Bedford County, Virginia to Mary Elizabeth “Betsy” James (1803-1882), daughter of Isaac James (1770-1853) and Mary Elizabeth “Polly” James (1744-1864); died October 8, 1864 (aged 64) in Appanoose County, Iowa; buried at Brethren Church Cemetery, Moulton, Appanoose County.

4.   Anna Howell:  born January 6, 1802; died circa July 2, 1855 (aged 53).

5.   David Howell:  born September 17, 1803 in Shelburn Parrish, Loudoun County, Virginia; married 1825 in Frederick County, Maryland to “Mahala”; died circa 1871 in Snickersville, Loudoun County, Virginia.

6.   Craven James Howell:  born October 13, 1805 in Loudoun County, Virginia; married November 5, 1833 in Frederick County, Maryland to Ann Wheeler Bradfield (1814-1899); died January 14, 1887 in Loudoun County, Virginia; buried at Goose Creek Burying Ground, Lincoln, Loudoun County, Virginia; known children include:  Hannah Howell; Thompson Howell; Ann Howell; Rodney Howell; George William Howell; Mary Darcus Howell; Townsend Berkley Howell; Benton Dallas Howell and Eliza Rachel Howell.

7.   Eda Howell:  born December 16, 1807.

8.   Emily Howell:  born August 6, 1810.

9.   James M. Howell:  born January 23, 1813 in Loudoun County, Virginia; married January 12, 1847 in Loudoun County, Virginia to Martha C. Huffman (Oct.14,1813 - Nov.16,1891); died August 1, 1878 (aged 65) in Loudoun County, Virginia; buried at Goose Creek Burying Ground, Lincoln, Loudoun County, Virginia; known children include:  Hannah Ore Howell; Bruce Howell and Virginia Howell.

Notes:

Hannah James (1772-1852) was the daughter of Elias James (1744-1789) and Anna Matson (1746-1827) of Loudoun County, Virginia.

Hannah’s son Elijah Washington Howell (1799-1864) married Mary Elizabeth “Betsy” James (1803-1882), the daughter of Hannah’s brother Isaac James (1770-1853) and Hannah’s cousin Mary Elizabeth “Polly” James (1744-1864), who, was the daughter of Hannah’s uncle Daniel James (1750-1817).
