1.   Rhoda Wadkins James:  born March 10, 1842 in Lynchburg, Virginia; appears in 1860 U.S. Census for Beat No. 4, Fannin County, Texas with family (age 18); married first time to Dr. William Patrick Henry (-1862); married second time May 12, 1870 to William Henry “Billy” Terry (1845-1873); married third time November 22, 1875 to Jacob O. “Jake” Gillespie; died December 13, 1929 in Ladonia, Fannin County, Texas.

2.   Polly A. James:  born circa 1844 in Virginia; appears in 1860 U.S. Census for Beat No. 4, Fannin County, Texas with family as (age 16).

3.   Mary J. James:  born circa 1846 in Virginia; appears in 1860 U.S. Census for Beat No. 4, Fannin County, Texas with family as (age 14).

4.   Joel W. James:  born circa 1848 in Virginia; appears in 1860 U.S. Census for Beat No. 4, Fannin County, Texas with family as (age 12).

5.   Elizabeth James:  born circa 1853 in Kentucky; appears in 1860 U.S. Census for Beat No. 4, Fannin County, Texas with family as (age 7).

6.   Sarah G. James:  born circa 1856 in Texas; appears in 1860 U.S. Census for Beat No. 4, Fannin County, Texas with family as (age 4).
