Clarence Burton James (1896-1955) was the son of William Amos James (1860-1883) of Franklin County, Alabama and Marthey Melisey Culigan (1868-1925)

Truett Clarence James (1925-2011) joined the U.S. Marine Corps in June 1942, and spent the next three years serving in World War II. He was wounded in action and sent home in 1945. In 1948, he joined the U.S. Air Force and retired in 1966 with the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He then went to work for EG&G, which brought his family to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Truett and his family then moved to Farmington, New Mexico because of the hunting, the fishing and landscape. He worked at Halliburton and then went into real estate. Truett then became interested in building computers and started his own business, J & J Computers, from which he finally retired in 2008. He enjoyed being outdoors, tending to his huge garden and watching sports.
