1.   Israel James:  born October 21, 1814 in Jefferson County, Ohio; married December 7, 1837 in Harrison County, Ohio to Lydia Ann Harrison (1814-1902); died April n18, 1896 in Prairie Township, Keokuk County, Iowa; buried at 16th Cemetery in Whatcheer, Keokuk County, Iowa; known children include:  Evan James, Zebulon James, Hannah James, Mary Ann James, Lydia Ann James, Israel James, Sidney James, Susan James, John James, Sarah James and Margaret Pheaby James,

2.   Mary Ann James:  born May 31, 1816 in Jefferson County, Ohio; married January 4, 1835 in Belmont County, Ohio to Eli Smith (1812-1906); died November 27, 1849 in Jefferson County, Iowa; buried at Union Cemetery, Lockridge Township, Jefferson County, Iowa; known children include:  Sidney Smith, Samuel Smith, Emmer Smith and William Ryley Smith.

3.   Sidney James:  born April 25, 1818 in Jefferson County, Ohio; married December 28, 1837 in Belmont County, Ohio to William Oliver Spriggs (1814-1885); died October 2, 1867 in Wayne County, Ohio; buried at Cincinnati Cemetery, Wayne County, Ohio; known children include:  Lydia W. Spriggs, Catherine Spriggs, Morris Spriggs, Wilson S. Spriggs, Mary Eleanor Spriggs, William Harrison Spriggs and Celesta L. Spriggs.

4.   Rebecca W. James:  born February 27, 1820 in Jefferson County, Ohio; married March 13, 1839 in Belmont County, Ohio to Samuel Spriggs (1819-1885); died June 7, 1897 in Cisne, Wayne County Illinois; buried at Cisne Cemetery; known children include:  Mary Ann Spriggs, David I. Spriggs, Mathias or William Spriggs, Israel James Spriggs, Julia A. Spriggs, Sarah Spriggs, Ira Spriggs, John Harrison Spriggs, Samuel Spriggs, Jr. and William Alonzo Spriggs.

5.   Martha M. James:  born May 2, 1822 in Jefferson County, Ohio; married March 16, 1843 in Morgan County, Ohio to Lorenzo Oliver (1811-); known children include:  Samuel W. Oliver, Hannah M. Oliver, Emily J. Oliver, Thomas J. Oliver and Malissa A. Oliver.
