1.   Susan Mahala James: born circa 1802 in Roanoke, Virginia; married Peter Wright; died circa 1876 (aged 74).

 

2.   Sarah “Sally” Jane James:  born August 8, 1802 in Botetourt County, Virginia; married to Jacob Kefauver (1796-1863), son of Peter Kefauver (1753-1814) and Catherine Yost (1766-1820); died March 30, 1895 (aged 92) in Virginia; buried at Christian Vineyard Cemetery, Vinton, Roanoke County, Virginia; known children include: Elizabeth Ann Kefauver Ray (1825-1914), James D. Kefauver (1827-1900), Susan K. Kefauver (1833-1910), Mary Jane Kefauver Vinyard (1835-1915), David Elias Kefauver (1840-1910), Richard Perrin Kefauver (1843-1863) and Thomas H. Kefauver (1846–1864).

 

3.    Maston James:  born circa 1803 in Bath, Botetourt County, Virginia; married October 10, 1831 in Vinton township, Botetourt County, Virginia to Delilah Thrasher (1811-1889), daughter of Frederick Thrasher (1769-1852) and Nancy Filson (1778-1874); died January 5, 1858 (aged 55) in Roanoke County, Virginia; buried at Thrasher-Short Cemetery in Roanoke County, Virginia; known children include: Elizabeth Ann James, Sarah Jane James, Nancy Margaret James, Richard P. James, Frederick D. James, Susan Miriam James, John McNeil James, Isaac Dallas James, Lewis Harvey James, Mary Eliza James, Emma Adeline James, and Mahala Pink James.

 

4.    Richard Bandy James:  born February 17, 1810 in Virginia; died April 13, 1898 (aged 88) in Virginia; buried at Blue Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Vinton, Roanoke County, Virginia.

 

5.    Woodford James:  born June, 1810 in Bedford County, Virginia; died June, 1855 (aged 45) in Roanoke County, Virginia.

 

6.    Jane James:  born February 17, 1812 in Virginia; married to William Feather (1798-1868); died July 12, 1866 (aged 44); buried at Blue Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Vinton, Roanoke County, Virginia.

 

7.    Annie Eliza Lou James:  born August 22, 1817 in Bedford County, Virginia; married June 6, 1840, in Botetourt County, Virginia to Ewel Meador (1814-1897), son of Thomas Meador (1775-1839) and Elizabeth Martin (1780-1850); died January 25, 1853 (aged 35) in Roanoke County, Virginia; buried at Blue Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Vinton, Roanoke County, Virginia; known children include: Sue Jane Meador, Daniel Thomas Meador and William Meadow Meador.

 

8.    Elizabeth Ann James:  born July 5, 1822 in Botetourt County, Virginia; married John Harvey Lemon (1825-1900), son of Peter Matthew Lemon, Jr. (1790-1850) and Martha Elinor Davis (1796-1860); died July 3, 1851 (aged 28); buried at Blue Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Vinton, Roanoke County, Virginia; known children include: Mary Ellen Lemon (1849-1899) and Sara Jane Lemon (1851-1935).

Daniel James, Jr. (1773-1841) was the son of Daniel James (circa 1750-1817) and Susanna Bealert (1745-1849) of Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
