1.    Charles Herman James:  born September 18, 1878 in Grant Township, Guthrie County, Iowa; married December 4, 1902, in Atlantic, Cass County, Iowa to Sadie Belle Gustin (1885-1954), daughter of Pemberton Clayborn Gustin (1844-1909) and Susannah Fordyce (1849-1924); died January 15, 1918 (aged 39) in Adair, Adair County, Iowa; buried January 21, 1918 at Sunnyhill Cemetery, Adair, Adair County, Iowa; known children include: Anna Cecil James Hambleton (1904-1990), Alice Marie James (1905-1991), Frances Marcella James Strouse (1907-1935), Martha Regina James (1908-1982), Charles Lewis James (1909-1911), Earl Franklin James (1911-1973), Gladys Irene James (1913-ukn), Glen Orville James (1915-1996), and Murl Arnold James (1917-1990).

 

2.    Lee Orland James:  born February 7, 1881, in Guthrie County, Iowa; married July 14, 1932 to widow Sadie Belle Gustin James (1885-1954), daughter of Pemberton Clayborn Gustin (1844-1909) and Susannah Fordyce (1849-1924); died November 22, 1953 (aged 72) in Adair, Adair County, Iowa; buried at Sunnyhill Cemetery, Adair, Adair County, Iowa.

 

3.    Edith James:  born December 28, 1882 in Adair County, Iowa; died December 28, 1882 (aged 0) in Adair County, Iowa; buried at Sunnyhill Cemetery, Adair County, Iowa.

 

4.    Charleston James:  Born November 18, 1884 in Adair County, Iowa; died December 11, 1884 (aged 0) in Adair County, Iowa; buried at Sunnyhill Cemetery, Adair County, Iowa.

 

5.    Clarence James:  born August 22, 1886 in Adair County, Iowa; married February 24, 1915 to Edith May Gustin (1897-1976) daughter of Henry Milton Gustin (1877-1943) and Josephine Burr (1873-1946); died January 17, 1953 (aged 66) in Guthrie Center, Guthrie County, Iowa; buried January 25, 1953 in Union Cemetery, Guthrie County, Iowa; known children include:  Pauline May James, Eveline Ramona James, Leona Beatrice James, Dale Clarence James and Ila Jean James.

 

6.    Bertha Pearl James:  born November 18, 1896 in Adair County, Iowa; fist married September 22, 1916, in Adair, Adair County, Iowa to Carl Envor Jensen (1891-1955), son of Christian Jensen (1870-1935) and Maria Sofia Lundgren (1859-1913) of Denmark; second marriage on August 20, 19?? to Lester Summy; died September 8, 1978 (aged 81) in Winterset, Iowa; buried at Sunnyhill Cemetery, Adair, Adair County, Iowa; known children include: Children include: Willis Carl Jensen (1917-1996), Lucille Florence Jensen (1919-2018), Marie Delila Jensen (1921-1996), Lora Pearl Jensen (1922-2014), Raymond Jensen (1925-1926) and Edna May Jensen (1937-1937).

Jesse Kersey James (1849-1931) was the son of Joel Evan James (1826-1904) of Henry County, Indiana and Elizabeth Ann Rogers (1830-1865).
