1.    Claire Lenorah Malone: born April 19, 1911 in Franklin County, Alabama; first marriage on January 11, 1930 to Rayburn Cecil Clingan, Sr. (1902-1936), son of John Madison Clingan (1865-1936) and Mary Elizabeth Underwood (1875-1947) - Rayburn was murdered; second marriage on July 15, 1948 to Hermon Rex “Hiram” Searcy (1909-1983), son of Oscar Newton Searcy (1886-1981) and Geneva Kennedy (1891-1983); died December 6, 2003 (aged 92) in Knoxville, KnoX County, Tennessee; buried at Lindsey Cemetery, in Dennis, Tishomingo County, Mississippi; known children include: Rheba Louise Clingan, Rayburn Cecil Clingan, Thomas Earnie Clingan and Vickie Diane Searcy.

 

2.    Geraldine Blanche Malone: born October 28, 1913 in Franklin County, Alabama; married October 27, 1935 in Alabama to Herman Clyde Sartain (1913-1992), son of Milton John Thomas Sartain and Alice Elizabeth Shook; died March 19, 2002 (aged 88) in Corinth, Alcorn County, Mississippi; buried at Forrest Memorial Park in Corinth, Alcorn County, Mississippi; known children include: Wyvil Sartain, Tommye Sartain and Libbye Sartain.

 

3.    Virginia Modena Malone: born November 24, 1915; died November 24, 1915; buried in Lindsey Cemetery in Dennis, Tishomingo County, Mississippi.

 

4.    Thomas Virgil Malone: born January 17, 1917 in Tishomingo, Tishomingo County, Mississippi; married November 5, 1938 to Pansy “Opal” Rushing (1921-1990), daughter of Lee Wister Rushing and Esther Pauline Blunt; died September 28, 1970 (aged 53) in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee; buried at Magnolia Cemetery, Coldwater, Tate County, Mississippi; known children include:  James Rushing Malone; Wanda Howe Malone and Judy Rushing Malone.

 

5.    Bruce Elree Malone: born September 27, 1919 in Colbert County, Alabama; married December 8, 1952 to Sarah Ann Cornelius (1924-2007) daughter of John Cavilier Cornelius and Genneta Crumby Taylor; died August 7, 1999 (aged 79)  in Booneville, Prentiss County, Mississippi; buried at Lindsey Cemetery in Dennis, Tishomingo County, Mississippi; known children include:  Eddie Bruce Malone and Debbie Malone.

 

6.    Minnie Lorene Malone: born October 22, 1921 in Maud, Colbert County, Alabama; married May 11, 1952 to James Edward Haynie (1919-1974) son of James Franklin Haynie and Rosie Lee King; died December 19, 2007 (aged 86) in Oxford, Lafayette County, Mississippi; buried at Clear Creek Church of Christ Cemetery in Corinth, Alcorn County, Mississippi; known children include: Mike Haynie.

 

7.    Amos Malone:  born January 19, 1923 in Maud, Colbert County, Alabama; died January 19, 1923 in Colbert County, Alabama.

 

8.    Lumis Monroe Malone: born February 29, 1924 in Belmont, Tishomingo County, Mississippi; married June 15, 1969 to Polly Sisk Logan (1928-?); died November 19, 1987 (aged 63) in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee; buried at New Bethlehem Church Cemetery in Horn Lake, DeSoto County, Mississippi; no known biological children.

 

9.    Reece Waldrep Malone: born October 21, 1926 in Colbert County, Alabama; married Jean Hargett; died June 26, 1979 (aged 52) in Red Bay, Franklin County, Alabama; buried at Lindsey Cemetery in Dennis, Tishomingo County, Mississippi; known children include: Stan Malone and Jeanece Malone.

 

10.  Preston Nyal Malone: born January 27, 1929 in Dennis, Tishomingo County, Mississippi; married December 23, 1954 to Rada Ivy; died March 1, 2014 (aged 85) in Belmont, Tishomingo County, Mississippi; buried at Lindsey Cemetery in Dennis, Tishomingo County, Mississippi; known children include: Donna Hester Malone and Denise Parrish Malone.

 

11.  Dexter Mae Malone: born May 31, 1931 in Dennis, Tishomingo County, Mississippi; married November 17, 1956 to Charles Edward Posey (1930-2013); died February 6, 2014 (aged 82) in Tupelo, Lee County, Mississippi; buried at Lindsey Cemetery in Dennis, Tishomingo County, Mississippi; known children include: Cynthia Annette Posey and Timothy Charles Posey.

 

12.  Vester Wayne Malone: born February 26, 1934; married January 1965 to Margaret Hill; died February 20, 2017 (aged 82) in Smyrna, Rutherford County, Tennessee; buried at Lindsey Cemetery in Dennis, Tishomingo County, Mississippi known children include: Randall Malone, Richard Powers Malone, Martha Ann Malone and Emma Jean Malone.

 

13.  Virgie Wynona Malone: born February 26, 1934; married February 25, 1956 to Bobby Waddle; known children include: Lynn Waddle, Nancy Waddle and Charlotte Waddle.

 

14.  Rachel James Malone: born December 8, 1935 in Tishomingo County, Mississippi; married July 13, 1956 to Elton Bruton; died August 27, 2024 (aged 88) in Red Bay, Franklin County, Alabama; buried at Lindsey Cemetery in Dennis, Tishomingo County, Mississippi; known children include: Rajama Bruton and Susan Bruton.

Biographical Notes:

 

Dora Lucille James (1893-1965) was the daughter of Thomas Enoch James (1866-1954) and Jennie B. James (1871-1953) of Franklin County, Alabama.

 

Preston Nyal Malone (1929-2014) was born January 27, 1929 in Dennis, Tishomingo County, Mississippi to Dora Lucille James (1893-1965) of Franklin County, Alabama and Curgus Earnie Malone (1891-1954) of Colbert County, Alabama. On December 23, 1954, Preston married Rada Ivy (1931-2023), daughter of the Reverend Grover Cleveland "C. L." Ivy (1888-1969) and Ella Flora Newell (1889-1977). Preston died on March 1, 2014 (aged 85) in Belmont, Tishomingo County, Mississippi and is buried at Lindsey Cemetery in Dennis, Tishomingo County, Mississippi. During his life, Preston was a member of Second Street Church of Christ and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He was employed at Blue Bell Manufacturing of Tishomingo County for 25 years and retired from Schnadig Furniture Manufacturing Corp after 15 years. What Preston is best known for, however, was his work as a James Family Historian. Preston was a pioneer publisher on the Find-a-Grave website and is responsible for reporting and recording hundreds of James family ancestors and the locations of their graves on that website.
