1.    Johnnie Ruth James:  born March 30, 1926 in the Old Rock House in Noodle Dome, Jones County, Texas; married May 14, 1946 in Abilene, Taylor County, Texas to George Clinton “Sonny” Bird (1925-2005), son of Jessie Smith "Jess" Bird (1893-1958) and Ina Corin Strange (1897-1979); died May 27, 2021 (aged 94) in Abilene, Taylor County, Texas; buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, 2nd Addition, Block R, Lot 7, Space W 2 in Merkel, Taylor County, Texas; known children include: Ginder Bird and Terry Clinton Bird.

 

2.    Bobbie Nell James:  born May 4, 1929 in the Old Rock House in Noodle Dome, Jones County, Texas; married December 15, 1945 in Sweetwater, Nolan County, Texas to Teddy “Ted” David Compton (1922-1996), son of Tyree David Compton (1878-1942) and Mamie Bird Daniel (1881-1966); currently residing in Odessa, Ector County, Texas; known children include: Jackie Kay Compton and Connie Compton.

Biographical Notes:

 

Manson “Cap” Leon James (1902-1974) was the son of Braxton Leftrich James (1864-1923) of Fannin County, Texas and Flora Alice Johnson (1874-1960).

 

Bobbie Nell “James” Compton - Housewife, seamstress, secretary for B-Line Filter for 18 years.  Her husband Ted was a jazz pianists and did piano tune and repair.  Currently works as front desk greeter and guide at Odessa Regional Medical Center in Odessa, Texas.  Attends First Baptist Church in Odessa, Texas.
