1.    Sidney Baxter James: born August 15, 1868 in Bedford County, Virginia; married Myrtle Alice Sawyer (1877-1967), daughter of John Boul Sawyer (1856-1922) and Emma Alice Wood (1854-1909); died November 18, 1913 (aged 45) in Wyaconda, Clark County, Missouri; buried at Wyaconda Cemetery in Wyaconda, Clark County, Missouri; known children include: Floy James.

 

2.    Nannie Cordelia James: born May 26, 1872 in Bedford County, Virginia; married December 12, 1893 in Clark County, Missouri to William Henry Turner (1869-1944), son of John Alexander Turner (1850-1931) and Dora Alice Goldsmith (1853-1937); died September 13, 1946 (aged 74) in Memphis, Scotland County, Missouri; buried at Wyaconda Cemetery in Wyaconda, Clark County, Missouri; known children include: Hazel Genevieve Turner Breckenridge (1898-1919) and William Hubert Turner (1900-1980).

 

3.    Alma Darling James: born May 29, 1880 in Vinton, Bedford County, Virginia; married to James Arthur Shacklett (1875-1942); son of son of Eli K. Shacklett (1827-1880) and Mary R. Wyseheart (1833-1914); died April 30, 1956 (aged 75) in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri; buried at Pauline Cemetery in Sand Hill Township, Scotland County, Missouri; known children include: Marie I. Shacklett Matlick (1900-1979).

 

4.    Mary “Mamie”Susan James: born August 6, 1882 in Roanoke City, Roanoke County, Virginia; married 1903 in Missouri to James Milton Cruse (1872-1948), son of Mahala L. Raine Cruse (1849-1905); died April 19, 1950 (aged 67) in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas; buried at San Jose Burial Park in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas;

 

5.    Myrtle James: born August 22, 1889; married December 30, 1916 to Clarence Robert Kern (1891-1968), son of Adam Newton Kern (1861-1936) and Ladora Cloud (1861-1931); died January 3, 1982 (aged 92); buried at Terre Haute Cemetery in Terre Haute, Henderson County, Illinois; known children include: Dorothy Elizabeth Kern Walker (1920-2023), James Robert Kern (1923-2001) and Marcia Lucille Kern Blythe (1926-1999).

 

6.    Irene Vannie James: born November 22, 1895 in Wyaconda, Clark County, Missouri; married James McCulloch (1890-1954); died July 7, 1984; buried at Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan; known children include: James McCulloch and Donald McCulloch.
