2. Hannah I. James: born August 20, 1811 in Jefferson County, Ohio; married February
12, 1835 in Guernsey County, Ohio to Hiram G. Martin (1815-1905); died in 1865 (aged
54); buried at Woodland Cemetery (unmarked grave) in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County,
Ohio; known children include: Thomas C. Martin, Elizabeth I. Martin, Mary A. G. Martin
Krim (1843-1924), Rebecca I. Martin, James McIlyar Martin and Nancy E. Martin.
3. Edith James: born October 14, 1813 in Jefferson County, Ohio; she, her mother
and siblings were received in Flushing Monthly Meeting on certificate from Somerset
Monthly Meeting in 1829; no known marriage; died November 13, 1837 (aged 24) in Belmont
County, Ohio; buried at Flushing Friends Cemetery in Flushing Township, Belmont County,
Ohio; no known children.
4. Samuel B. James: born circa 1814 in Galion, Crawford County, Ohio; married
to Mary Stevens (1818-1893), daughter of Ellen Stevens (1783-ukn); died April 1,
1876 (aged 62) in Steubenville, Jefferson County Ohio; buried at Union Cemetery in
Steubenville, Jefferson County, Ohio; known children include: George Robert James
(1837-1914), William James (1846-ukn), Isaac James (1850-ukn) and Mary Elizabeth
James (1855-1932).
5. David James: born January 20, 1816 in Jefferson County, Ohio; first marriage
April 11, 1839 in Tuscarawas County, Ohio to Margaret McDonald (1820-1854), daughter
of Zachariah McDonald (1787-ukn) and Rachel (1791-ukn); second marriage December
18, 1856 in Guernsey County, Ohio to Rachel W. Carson (1819-1889), daughter of William
Carson (1795-1841) and Mary McGrew; died September 17, 1900 (aged 84) in Keokuk County,
Iowa; buried at Coal Creek Cemetery, What Cheer, Keokuk County, Iowa; known children
through Margaret McDonald: Rachel Ann James, Samuel James, Joseph McDonald James,
Sarah Elizabeth James, Martha Lucretia James; known children through Rachel W. Carson:
William Carson James.
6. Elizabeth James: born September 27, 1819 in Steubenville, Jefferson County,
Ohio; married August 25, 1847 in Washington County, Ohio to Martin Morris (1828-1903),
son of Mordecai Morris (1801-1843) and Alice Way (1806-1894); died after 1858; known
children include: Sarah J. Morris (1849-1873), Hannah Alice Morris (1853-1854), Rachel
Ann Morris (1856-1934) and David Linneaus Morris (1858-1927).
7. Rachel Ann James: born March 1, 1827 in Belmont County, Ohio; married June
21 1847 in Wesley Township, Washington County, Ohio to David F. Morris (1828-1900);
died 1905 (aged 77-78) known children include: Lucy A. Morris, Samuel J. Morris,
Sarah A. Morris, George A. Morris, Rebecca F. Morris and Schooley Lemmon Morris.
8. Rebecca D. James: born March 31, 1831 in Flushing Monthly Meeting, Belmont
County, Ohio; in the household of Hiram G. Martin (1815-1905) and her older sister
Hannah I. James Martin (1811-1865), in Freeport, Harrison County, Ohio (aged 19)
in 1850.

Biographical Notes:
George James (1786-1844) was the son of Samuel James (1754-1812) and Hannah Smith
(1758-1844) of Radnor Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
Schooley Lemmon Morris (1856-1922), the son of Rachel Ann (James) Morris (1827-1905)
and David F. Morris (1828-1900) was born in April of 1856 in Morgan County, Ohio.
In 1870 he resided in Washington County, Ohio. On April 30, 1879 he married W. Josephine
Daniel in Morgan County, Ohio. Schooley and Josephine had 3 children including: Carlos
William Morris (1880-1946), Hallie E. Morris (born June 20, 1883) and Nellie Morris
(born June 1886). By June of 1900 Schooley was a widower and clergyman residing in
Tamaroa Village in Perry County, Illinois. He married again on March 24, 1901 in
Ashley, Washington County, Illinois to Grace Irene Topping (1867-1935). In April
of 1910 Schooley (aged 54) and wife “Grace” are enumerated in Weatherford, Parker
County Texas where Schooley is a minister at the Free Will Baptist Church. In Jan
of 1920 the couple are enumerated in Forest, Pattawotomie County, Oklahoma where
Schooley is a minister/preacher working on his own account while Grace is a teacher
and works for wages. Schooley on May 16 1922 in Spring Garden Township in Jefferson
County, Illinois.
