Children of Eugene Edgar James, Sr. (1863-1944) of Millfield, Athens County, Ohio and Elizabeth Gertrude Stalter (1868-1936):

 

1.    Cyrus Stalter James: born February 1, 1890 in Monday, Hocking County, Ohio; married May 2, 1911 in Athens County, Ohio to Ruth Ann Wallace (1891-1971), daughter of Edward Wallace and Alice McKee; died March 27, 1969 (aged 79) in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio; buried at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, Franklin County, Ohio; known children include:  Paul Wallace James, Margaret Louise James, Ruth James and Rhea James.

 

2.    Eugene Edgar James, Jr.: born February 13, 1892 in New Straitsville, Perry County, Ohio; married Celia Rosser (1895-1958), daughter of Eugene Rosser and Elizabeth Wilkinson; died December 14, 1963 (aged 71) in Nelsonville, Athens County, Ohio; buried at Greenlawn Cemetery, Section 12, Nelsonville, Athens County, Ohio; known children include:  Clifford Custer James, Sr., John Richard James and Vivian Elaine James.

 

3.    Edna E. James: born March 23, 1894 in Hocking County, Ohio.

 

4.    Clifford Custer James: born 1895.

 

5.    Florence M. James: born November 1897 in Athens County, Ohio; married Frank S. Lowry (1892-1957); died March 1988 (Aged 90); buried at Greenlawn Cemetery, Section 15, Nelsonville, Athens County, Ohio; known children include:  Elizabeth “Betty” Lowry.

 

6.    Alice Mary James: born November 29, 1902 in Buchtel, Athens County, Ohio; first marriage October 22, 1922 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio to Mathew Albert Elson (1896-1971); second marriage circa 1940-1942 to Harry Vernon Terry (1877-1949); third marriage July 13, 1950 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio to Walter Jacob Rietz (1893-1973); died October 7, 1967 (aged 64) in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio; cremated with ashes scattered; known children include:  Matthew William Elson, Mary Alice Elson.

 

7.    Ralph James:  born 1903.

 

8.    Clarence Stanley James, Sr.: born August 26, 1907 in Nelsonville, Athens County, Ohio; married April 28, 1930 to Mary Katherine McGlone (1912-1971), daughter of Harry Bruce McGlone (1887-1971) and Anna Laura Henderson (1882-1969); died April 16, 1987 in Nelsonville, Athens County, Ohio; known children include: Clarence Stanley James, Jr.

Biographic Notes:

 

Eugene Edgar James (1863-1944) was the son of Cyrus Matson James (1838-1910) of Coshocton, Ohio and Mary Elizabeth King (1841-1912).

 

Clarance Stanley James, Jr. (1930-1989), the son of Clarence Stanley James, Sr. (1907-1987) and Mary Katherine McGlone (1912-1971), married Darlene Francis Collins (1933-1991).  Through this union were born three sons: Michael Stanley James, born 1953, died December 31, 1998 (aged 45); Daniel Clarence James, born July 22, 1955; and William Everett James, born February 23, 1964 in Springfield, Ohio.
